Immediate Challenges
Since 1959, Willowdale Christian School has been a place where generations of students have grown in faith, curiosity, and service.
Today, more than 60 years later, our school is facing challenges that make it harder to give every student the learning experience they deserve. To keep up with 21st century education and continue encouraging creativity, innovation, and whole-student growth, it’s time to modernize our facilities.

Our Growing Pains
Classroom Capacity
Our school is growing, and space is tight. With 10 classes but only 9 rooms, one class has to be split each year.
Student Support Services
Supporting students who need extra help is part of who we are – we see each child as uniquely created in God’s image. Right now, our staff are working hard but have very limited space to do so.
Technology Integration and STEAM
Our classrooms need more flexibility and better technology to support hands-on, project-based learning in art, science, technology, and music.
Aging Infrastructure
Portable air conditioners are not an ideal long-term solution. To keep classrooms comfortable, we need to expand the HVAC system, which also means upgrading the electrical system.
Growing Educational Demands
Education is changing quickly, especially with new demands in AI, STEAM, and experiential learning. Without modern spaces, we risk falling behind in giving students opportunities to explore and innovate.
Student Safety
Student safety always comes first. Right now, limited visibility from the office makes it harder to keep an eye on hallways, and younger students need to leave their classrooms to use the washroom, which requires extra supervision.
